S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky proves that the developers at GSC really listened to the community, and while it still isn't a flawless ride, Clear Sky does a great job of delivering on some of the promises that the original game didn't reach.

Fur Fans des ersten Teils ist Clear Sky eine echte Offenbarung. Schon jetzt fast fehlerlos und mit vielen wichtigen Neuerungen gespickt, ist die Serie ihrem Hardcore-Anspruch treu geblieben. Der Titel begeistert wie das Original mit einer erstklassigen Atmosphare, viel Freiheit und einem packenden Szenario. Anfanger werden es aber auch diesmal schwer haben, sich in der harten Welt der Todeszone zu behaupten.

A new preview with hands-on impressions, screens and video of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:Clear Sky has just come from IGN.
As before, the game swings though a day and night cycle, complete with changing weather patterns. It may be sunny at mid-day, blustery and overcast toward the late afternoon, then transition to a thunderstorm as things go dark. And perhaps you'll even be treated to a blast of reddish light as the sun momentarily peeks through the clouds just before darkness overtakes everything and you're forced to switch on your flashlight.

A multimedia news and reviews website IGN posted a preview of the game STALKER: Clear Sky from E3 2008
Also shown, though briefly, was a zone called Red Forest, where trees had been turned amber hues by radiation. It actually was a forest, though in the underbrush were gnarled branches and impact spots for the Zone's mysterious energy bursts that periodically blast across the zone. Again, a significant step up in terms of color and vibrancy than in Shadow, but it wasn't exactly verdant.
